The Annual Fund

Support for the Annual Fund strengthens the school and allows it to do more for its pupils. Gifts are spent at the end of the school year on the projects specified on the donation form. Former pupils, parents and friends of the school contribute generously, and it is always a pleasure to make contact with former students, some from a very long time ago. As in last year’s successful Annual Fund campaign, this year’s projects support the broadest possible range of activities and school life. You can choose to support projects that include • Activity days and enrichment programmes • The Arts • Bursaries or allocate your gift to wherever the school needs it most.

Bursary Fund News

In 2006 The Bursary Fund which currently supports very able girls, received a generous donation of US $150,000 from Diana Josephson (nee Bailey) who died in March . She left this bequest because she had so enjoyed her education here and been so inspired by one teacher in particular that she felt her later success and her very interesting career was thanks to Notting Hill and Ealing High School. She wanted other girls to have the same opportunities.

Diana was at the school in the late 1940’s and early 1950's and was Head Girl in 1954. Her long career was dedicated to science and the environment. Although not a scientist by profession, in a career that spanned senior leadership positions in Federal and local government, in industry, and in non government organisations, her work made a lasting impact on science policy as it affects the environment in the US.

In her memory the school will name a Diana Josephson Scholar each year. The Award carries no financial or other advantage. It is made to recognise potential in academic ability in the hope that the holder will be inspired by the successful career of Diana Josephson and go on to do something interesting herself in her own life.

About Gift Aid

Gift Aid is one of the simplest and most effective ways of giving to Notting Hill & Ealing High School. Using Gift Aid means that for every pound you give, the school will receive an extra 28 pence from the Inland Revenue. On top of this, higher rate taxpayers are eligible to reclaim as much as £23 from the Inland Revenue for every £100 donated to charity, by including details of their Gift Aid donations on their Self Assessment form.

If you would like to make a donation to the school, please fill out the donation and gift aid form. Please send the completed form(s) to:
