Scholarships and Bursaries
Scholarships
The entrance examination forms the first stage of selection for a scholarship.
Scholarships are awarded at age 11 for girls showing outstanding academic potential.
The maximum award is 50% of the fees, but each award is usually less than this. In addition there is a music award, usually of 10% of the tuition fees. Girls should be at least grade 4 standard on their main instrument to be considered for this award.
At 16, there are one or more academic scholarships, and scholarships for art, drama, PE and also for all-round achievement and potential.
Bursaries
Means tested bursaries are also available in the senior school (only). Families who think they may be eligible should be sure to indicate this on the application form. They will be sent a Bursary Application Form to complete.
