"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

Cross Country Borough Champions & County Success for Junior & Intermediate Teams

By Miss Munro-Hall, PE Teacher

We were delighted to hear this week that we have retained our title as Ealing Borough School Cross Country Champions!

Our Years 7-8 (Junior), Years 9-10 (Intermediate) runners plus our Year 11 headed for Berkeley Fields in Greenford last week for the Ealing Schools Cross Country Championships. There were fantastic performances from every student who represented NHEHS on an uneven course of 2 km (Years 7-8) and 4 km (Years 9-11). Congratulations to podium finishers Nicola, Eadi, Natasha and Sofia together with several other top ten finishers!

Our U15 and U13 cross country teams also travelled to Harrow on 29th September for the county round of the English Schools Athletics Association Cross Country Cup. Both teams ran really strongly to finish third (U15) and second (U13) overall  in their races. Well done to all runners: our U15 team of Natasha B (3rd), Minna W, Emma S, Gwen T, Hannah P, Sofia Y and Ishita N, and our U13 team of Sofia B (6th), Mary-Kate T, Abby G, Cosima M, Anishka G, Erin L and Ella C. By finishing second overall, our U13 team now goes forward to the Regional Round in November. They will also be joined by our Intermediate team. Well done to everyone running!

Congratulations also to Nicola, Rosie, Natasha, Minna and Sofia who all ran for Ealing Borough at the London Mini Marathon last week, as well as Emma and Eadi who ran for Richmond and Brent respectively.
