Geography Fieldwork
Our GCSE geographers have been on a field trip to Lulworth Cove in Dorset. Whilst the rest of the UK was engulfed by floods, the sun remained present for the entire trip.
The students collected data to investigate contrasting pressures in rural areas – including second home ownership, environmental damage such as footpath erosion and increasing traffic problems.
We spent a pleasant night at Brenscombe Outdoor Centre near Corfe Castle where we received a surprise visit from the Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award girls who were in the area on a practice expedition.
