It has been an exciting week in the Junior School. Reception girls enjoyed a visit from Wildscience and were fascinated by ‘Harriet the Madagascan Hissing Cockroach’ and ‘Simon the Snake’. Year 1 had a surprise visit from Ealing Fire Service and learnt not only how the engine works but also were able to look inside, try on firefighter helmets and pretended to put out fires with the powerful hose.
As part of their ‘Mountain High’ topic, girls in Year 4 travelled to Westway Climbing Centre to try out their own mountaineering skills. Year 5 girls hit the boards in a spectacular show transporting their audience back to the 1920’s to solve a Mystery at Magpie Manor. Through the power of the Charleston and some snooping around by Agatha Christie, the mystery was solved.
Both our U10 and U11 netball teams have been in action and did very well in their respective tournaments. And finally, Years 1, 2 and 3 made Easter bonnets in a team competition and to round off the week the whole school enjoyed an’ own clothes day’ and sell out bake sale to raise money for Red Nose Day.
