When you walk through the doors of the Junior
School, you can feel the buzz of lively, engaged learning. We
form a happy community of pupils, parents and staff, working
together to provide an environment in which girls strengths are
allowed to flourish.
Our girls achieve the highest academic standards at age 11, but this is only one aspect of our school. We encourage girls to approach the world with curiosity and creativity, to express their views and feelings, and to develop a real enjoyment of learning. Visits, trips, speakers and special events are built into the curriculum. Your daughter will have outstanding opportunities to develop her interests in a wide range of areas including music, drama, sport and art.
New additions to our facilities
this year include a science laboratory. Very unusual in a junior
school, this beautifully equipped lab capitalises on the enthusiasm
and enjoyment that pupils at this age feel for science. It also
reflects the Notting Hill and Ealing tradition of a high proportion
of girls studying science in the Senior School and in Higher Education.
There is also a new Art and Design Technology room, two new classrooms,
new cloakrooms and improvements to our outside play areas. These
include dedicated outside areas for Reception pupils.
On our website you will find further details about the Junior School, as well as year group pages developed by the Junior School girls with their teachers. We would love you to come and visit the school and see for yourself what Notting Hill and Ealing Junior School can offer your daughter.
I look forward to meeting you. Mrs Gabrielle Solti BA (Oxford), PGCE ( London)
