A Level Work
The title of the 2016 A2 examination was ‘Transformation’ at AS and ‘Truth, Fantasy or Fiction’ at A2.
The exhibitions of Ai Wei-Wei and Joseph Cornell at the Royal Academy, as well a sketching trip to the Hunterian Museum at the Royal College of Surgeons, inspired many of our AS students to work in both two and three dimensions. Learning to etch at the Thames Barrier Print Studios prompted Year 13 students to make work of a more intimate size.
It has been so exciting to witness all these students developing as artists, as each one hones her technique, explores new media and learns to express her unique vision with such confidence. The range of ideas, wealth of creativity and breadth of vision is breath-taking.
