The Senior Chamber Choir was invited to perform Evensong in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. This is the fourth time the choir has performed here and as always we were honoured to be given this opportunity to sing in such a beautiful, historic location.
The chapel itself is an impressive structure, with the oldest parts dating back to the 1300s and is home to centuries of important history. The choir accompanied the service, singing a variety of appropriate religious music in between the readings and the prayers. Special mention must go to Miss Bushell who sang the lead Cantor part, normally performed by a church official.
The choir performed wonderfully and received many positive comments from the congregation. This incredible opportunity not only gave the choir a chance to showcase their abilities in such a stunning location, but also allowed them to play a part in a service which brings together members of the community.
