"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

Howzat? U13s & U15s Shine at Lord’s Indoor Cricket Tournaments

U15 Match Report

The U15 cricketers had a great day at Lord’s on Tuesday 4th February.

While they did not come home with a medal, they played very strongly with the A team losing by only 7 runs against their toughest opponent, Godolphin & Latymer’s B team, by 65 to 72 runs. Then they just missed out again to St Paul’s A team, losing by just 69/72. Finally, NHEHS A took a win against Queen’s College, winning 80/63. Highlights included very strong bowling overs from Sephera, Maddie. H and Ansley and catches from Charmy and Ellie, who was retired twice.

The B team also had a fantastic day, closely defeated first by Putney High by just 55/56, then lost to Godolphin A and finally by Francis Holland. They brought it back amazingly though in the last game and only missed out by one run at 63/62. Highlights included some fantastic bowling from Nur and Caitlin with some truly brilliant batting from Abbirami, who smashed out a boundary for 8 runs in the penultimate over of the last game, giving us all some thrilling cricket. Well done to all the girls!

U13 Match report

The U13s also had an incredible day at Lords on February 25th, coming home with a silver medal!

They won every single match, beating Putney 85/55; bowling out Godolphin’s B team for only 44 runs; beating Lady Margaret’s 93/40 and Francis Holland, achieving their 29 in just 2.5 overs. The big game was the final against Godolphin’s A team. They played well taking 67 for 2 and we fought very well to keep up with their run rate but they Godolphin managed to beat us by just two runs! The last two overs produced some fantastic cricket: Anna came in and played incredibly tactically, running for every wide and bye and building a steady pace of runs. Anna and Jaspreet needed to get 17 runs from the last over and nearly got there from sheer determination and quick thinking. It was truly great to watch.

Highlights across the day include the girls taking well over 20 wickets in 5 games, some brilliant catches from Yasmin, Jaspreet, Mim, Annabelle and Morven and fabulous bowling from Kikuko, Sophia, Annabelle and Yasmin. Our strength though, was really in the field; the girls worked together so well, backing up and communicating like professionals. Well done to all!
