"Virtually every parent would say they want their daughter to develop into a happy and confident young woman. At Notting Hill and Ealing they make it happen."

"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

Juniors Hit the High Notes at Tea Time Concert

Every term before the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) exams, our instrumentalists are invited to perform one exam piece of their choosing in front of parents and girls at our Tea Time concerts in the Junior School Hall.

These concerts are a great highlight of our calendar as they enable us to hear and appreciate our musicians’ hard work both in the practice room and at home.

The Tea Time concerts encourage girls to play with confidence in front of an audience, often with a pianist who will accompany them during the exam. The events also provide the chance for many girls to play in public for the first time, as was the case last Friday for seven Grade 1 musicians.

There are opportunities for musicians, families and staff to chat over tea and homemade cake afterwards too!

Last Friday we were treated to performances by 12 girls ranging from Year 3 to 6, with instruments including violin, cello, flute, guitar, piano, with everyone performing delightfully.

Many of these girls will also be performing in our ensembles (Orchestra, Wind Band and Strings) at our annual Mince Pie Concert in December.

Good luck to all girls this week taking music exams from Grade 1 through to Grade 6!
