"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

NHEHS Retains Ealing Borough Primary Girls Cross Country Shield for 3rd Year Running!

On 3rd October, a large group of Year 5 and 6 girls represented NHEHS in the Ealing Borough Cross Country Championships.

Our eager and somewhat nervous runners had to run a 1500m cross country course at Berkeley Playing Fields in Greenford. There were approximately 160 runners in each Year 5 and 6 event, so the start was a bit chaotic with girls vying for the best starting position. Running conditions couldn’t have been better. All our girls ran an excellent race and more importantly completed the course.

A special mention goes to Minna who finished third in the Year 6 race in a fantastic time of 5:53:37. Daisy also finished a creditable 9th and Ishbel in 11th place. Minna has been invited to represent Ealing Borough in this year’s London Youth Games Cross Country event in November. Congratulations to Minna.

Our fastest Year 5 girl was Mary Kate who finished in 12th position which was a fabulous achievement for her first competitive cross country run.

We were also delighted to get the news that our NHEHS Team once again achieved 1st place in the primary girls team event (judged on the fastest six girls in each school) and retained the shield for the third year running.

This is a tremendous result and a huge congratulations to all our runners that took part.

Year 5 Darcey, Iskra, Eloise, Mary Kate, Abby, Anna, Annika and Elizabeth.

Year 6 Alyssa, Sophie, Ishbel, Chloe, Daisy, Claudia and Minna.
