NHEHS Weekly Sports Update February 28th – March 6th 2020

Hockey

Super results for the the  U12 & U13 hockey teams at the Middlesex County Hockey Tournament held this week!

The U12s came an impressive 3rd, only missing out on the final on penalty flicks to the eventual winners, Highgate. The U13 team came 2nd, which means they make it through to the  South of England Regional Finals! 

En route to the final, the U13A team beat Fortismere 1-0, Highgate 2-1,  G&L B team 2-1, lost to St Benedict’s 0-1. In the semi-final, NHEHS beat G&L A team 1-0 but lost narrowly to Latymer Upper 0-1.  The U13B and U12B teams played well and gave it their all throughout the tournaments. 

Netball

Another busy week of netball! 

On March 2nd, our U13 teams played St Paul’s Girls School at home, with successes for the D (won 9-6, MVP Eadi) and E teams (won 11-6, MVP Chris), however the B team lost 12-15 and the C team 8-27 (MVP Anna).  The following day, the U12A played away to St Augustine’s Priory School and won 20-0 (MVP Julia),  the B team also took a strong win, 33-0 (MVP Jaspreet), the Cs won 27-1 (MVP Elise) and the D team drew 5 all (MVP Nairi). 

 Cross Country

Unfortunately, the U13 OTI cross country relays were cancelled due to a waterlogged course.
