"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

NHEHS Weekly Sports Update January 17th – 24th 2020

Athletics

Huge congratulations to the team who won the first round of the Ealing Borough Indoor Athletics (1st out of 7 teams) and have made the borough finals on January 28th where they will face Elthorne High School.

The winning school on the 28th will go on to represent the borough at the London Youth Games. Well done to Hannah (captain), Zoe J, Morven, Emma S, Natasha, Kiki, Careena and Helena.

Cross Country

Huge congratulations to the eight girls who competed in the Middlesex Cross Country Championships, representing the borough of Ealing. Five of the eight girls finished in the top 20 of their age category! A particular well done to Fiona and Nicola who placed 9th in their races and so are in the reserves to represent Middlesex at the English Schools Cross Country Championships.

Hockey

A busy week of hockey fixtures saw our first XI take on Francis Holland School, Regent’s Park in a friendly which NHEHS won 1-0 (MVP Jojo & Kira) while our U14As lost (MVP Anna W).

Our U13A and B teams lost away to Godolphin & Latymer on January 23rd (MVP for the B team was Emma L). The U12 teams fared better with our A team taking the win 1-0 (MVP Mathilda & Alice W) and the Bs playing out an entertaining 3-3 draw.

Netball

A highly successful week for our netballers with five wins out of five! Our U15A team won 18-3 vs. Latymer Upper (MVP Omamakpo) while the U15B also won 15-9 (MVP Eva-Marie).  Our U12 teams got in on the winning act too, with the D team winning 10-1, the E 7-4 and the F team 9-1, also against Latymer Upper.

Swimming

We hosted a swimming gala with St. Augustine’s Priory for the U12A, U13A and U14A swimming teams. NHEHS won with 122 points to 87 points. A competitive and high spirited gala.
