Return of the Extra Curricular Fair
Back by popular demand, the Extra Curricular Fair returned last week – bigger and busier than ever!
The Sixth Form Subject Reps who run the clubs were busy encouraging girls not only to sign up for clubs they are passionate about but to try something new – who knows where it might lead them? Clubs take place before school, at lunchtime and after school.
With over 100 activities on offer, girls were spoiled for choice.
In music alone, the choice of 25 clubs or groups included a wide range of styles and groups, from choirs (Senior, Harmony and Chamber, plus Lower School Chamber and Acapella), to bands (Wind, Rock, Piano, Violin, Jazz, Flute Ensemble) to orchestras (Chamber and Session) to Music Tech Club to Composition Clubs, not to mention working towards the summer ‘Through the Decades’ performances due to take place in May.
Not to be outdone, our Sports Reps shared the opportunities for the 45 sports clubs (from team activities such as netball, hockey, football cricket, water polo, badminton and dance) to individual pursuits like trampolining, indoor rowing, fencing, kickboxing, gymnastics, Taekwondo, yoga, swimming).
Drama offered opportunities for girls from all ages to get involved both on stage and backstage through our Backstage Pass Levels 1-3, Drama Club and LAMDA.
Making their debuts at the Extra Curricular Fair were the following brand new clubs – Spanish Culture Club, Pi Club, Maths Masterclass, Chinese Culture Club, French Films Club, Enigma Club, Politics Society, LBGT Club, UK Linguistics Club , Maths Feast and Art History Discussion Club.
NHEHS favourites were also prominent at the fair, including Coup Club, Creative Writing, Horrible Histories, Geography Society, Ealing Teen Read, Art Club, Bridge, Knit & Knatter, Senior Literary Forum, Languages Club, DT Club, Amnesty International, Philmosophy, Dissections, Lotions/Potions & Kitchen Chemistry, Exploring Psychology, Korean Club, Aeronautics, Programming and Medsoc.
Looking forward to another exciting, action-packed term of activities!
