South East Schools Chamber Music Competition
The violin quartet of Miranda, Grace, Elizabeth (Year 13) and Kikuko (Year 8), alongside the Year 7 piano trio of Dunya, Zoe and Harriet made the trip to Putney High School to compete in the South East Schools Chamber Music Competition on March 3rd.
This was a chance to be coached by Michael Dussek from the Royal Academy of Music and hone their ensemble performance skills.
The groups really enjoyed the experience, the Year 7’s performing ‘Slavonic Dance’ by Dvorak and the violin quartet, ‘Concerto in D major’ by Telemann.
We were delighted that both groups achieved a highly commended in their respective categories.
