"We believe that being part of a community matters, it involves reaching out to volunteer, raising funds for causes we care about, and sharing our spaces to build meaningful relationships. These collaborations are mutually enriching and enable our students to create connections beyond the school gates."

Sports Weekly Update – May 17th 2019

Strong Week for NHEHS U12 U13 and U14 Cricket, Rounders and Tennis Teams

The lovely summer sunshine and a successful week of local fixtures put a smile on our faces last week – the weather making a huge contrast to previous weeks where we had been rained off!

CricketNHEHS cricket U13 St Pauls

Our U13A team took on St Paul’s Girls school in a friendly fixture and won 226-208 in a tight match played at Ealing Trailfinders. Well played!

NHEHS U14 rounders away st pauls cheeringRounders

On May 13th we made the short trip to St Augustine’s Priory school for an U13 rounders fixture.  Our A team lost narrowly by just one run 13-14, while our Bs won 13-10 and our Cs 32.5 to 12.5.

Our U14A team also achieved a great win 28 to 7.5 away at St Paul’s Girls school, while our U15A won 13-10 at the same venue. Fantastic to see so many girls out enjoying and representing the school at rounders.

Tennis

Also on May 13th we took our U12 tennis team to St Augustine’s where they won by 37-12. Congratulations!

Our U13 tennis team travelled to St Paul’s on 16th May where they played enjoyable matches in the sunshine losing 12-38. Players of the match were Ava and NHEHS captain Lydia.

Finally, the Road to Wimbledon Tennis tournament took place on the school astro on May 14th after school.

Competitors from Years 7-9 entered this singles event, and played a series of round robin matches on a beautifully sunny day.

The winner of this event will go through to the County finals in July. Congratulations to Lydia (Year 8) who was the overall winner.
