Y9 Entrepreneurs Go Digital with 10X Challenge
Year 9 have been spending the last few weeks setting up their own businesses for the national 10X Challenge competition run by Young Enterprise.
Using their initial £10 start-capital from the 10X Bank, students set up their own businesses and learn what it’s like to be an entrepreneur, from choosing a product, creating a brand and logo, learning about costs, producing a sales pitch and setting up social media and website platforms.
The budding entrepreneurs chose a wide variety of products to sell, ranging from homemade candles and houseplants to stickers and fashion accessories (rings, bracelets, jewellery, scrunchies), with eco-friendly items being particularly popular.
