‘Elements’ by Aniya K ( 7T)
You could be that drip of the tap in the silence of the night,
You could be that one flame that doesn’t blow out,
You could be that one weed cemented in the ground,
Or that one gust of wind that takes your breath away.
Whether you’re drowned, swallowed or frozen,
Whether you’re afloat, calm or tranquil,
These are the ripples of water.
Whether you’re burnt, blind or choked,
Whether you’re dreamy, possessed or warm,
These are the flames of fire.
Whether you’re deep, dry or dangerous,
Whether you’re down to earth, unique or luscious,
These are the roots of earth.
Whether you’re strong, detrimental or raucous,
Whether you’re pure, effective or ataractic,
These are the atoms of the air.
As people we are all different and unique,
Elements represent the soul of us living,
It’s alright to be weird and not need a tweak,
You are a piece of the puzzle and when we come together, no one’s missing.
